Vision & Objectives

The Knowledge Centre for Materials Chemistry was officially launched in March 2009 by the Rt Hon John Denham, Secretary of State for Innovation, Universities and Skills.

With initial investment of £15 million from the Northwest Development Agency and academic partner organisations, our aim is to drive industrial growth for the UK chemistry-using industries through the coordination, development and exploitation of leading edge materials chemistry research.
