This workshop aims to present research capability and industrial landscape of surface engineering in UK and promote collaboration between academia and industry in surface engineering.
The Henry Royce Institute, in partnership with the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) and the EPSRC NetworkPlus in Digitalised Surface Manufacturing will be hosting a virtual Surface Engineering Workshop on Monday 19 October 2020.
This workshop will present the research capability and industrial landscape of surface engineering in the UK. Additionally, it will promote collaboration between academia and industry in surface engineering.
The workshop will be led by Professor Ping Xiao, chair of the Surface Engineering Division, IOM3. Joining him in chairing sessions will be Professors Philip Withers, Royce Chief Scientist, and Allan Matthews, Director of the NetworkPlus in Digitalised Surface Manufacturing at The University of Manchester.
