University of Liverpool Appoints Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement and Partnerships
University of Liverpool has appointed Professor Tariq Ali to the role of Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement and Partnerships – a new post which will lead the development of the institution’s global vision and strategy.
Professor Tariq Ali is currently Deputy Pro-Vice Chancellor for Strategic Partnerships at the University of Birmingham and acted as the Vice-Provost for Research and Innovation at the University of Birmingham Dubai. Tariq has established and developed important key relationships with stakeholders in business, government and academia in the UK, UAE and globally.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Tim Jones, said: “I look forward to welcoming Tariq to the University – the new role of Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement and Partnerships will help us to deliver on our international ambitions as part of the new corporate strategy we are developing.
